We started out Independence Day off at the Pinecrest Patriot 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run! This race, in its 4th year, supports the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Pinecrest High School running program.
Check out all the photos we took over on our Facebook page, Sand & Pine and make sure to tag yourself and your friends (if they're okay with that, of course)!

It is the best way to celebrate the Independence day! My friend participated in that event and she said that when she finished the race, the feeling was very fulfilling. She felt very blessed to become a part in that yearly event. I can also remember that my family participated in an event that supports cancer groups. When we finished the race as a whole family, and even if we didn't won any prize, we felt privileged and blessed to be able to join in an event that actually helps people to fight off cancer. Let's participate in these kinds of events to help the people in need and at the same time, we can also have fun and be healthy!

I like to celebrate Independence day in case this holiday unites all the citizens of our big country. It is one of the most important events of the year. Children look so exited. Especially I like this little boy who takes part in running race)
